Resolution to Support the Efforts of the
Ionia County Planning Commission to
Update the County Master Plan

WHEREAS, change is inevitable in our time as populations fluctuate and opportunities evolve; and,

WHEREAS, if a community wants to take charge of its future and not allow future development decisions to be made by outside influences, it must adopt a Master Plan in order to provide general direction on the future development pattern of the community; and,

WHEREAS, the Ionia County Planning Commission has indicated a desire to work cooperatively with all Ionia County local units of government in an effort to establish policies that are consistent with the wishes of individual communities and citizens; and,

WHEREAS, the (INSERT LOCAL GOVERNMENT NAME) also wishes to work cooperatively with its local community neighbors and Ionia County in its planning efforts.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the (INSERT LOCAL GOVERNMENT NAME) hereby supports the efforts of the Ionia County Planning Commission to update the County Master Plan and pledges to work cooperatively through the planning process in an effort to produce a County Master Plan that combines the overall goals of the county with the individual needs of the local community.
