AND PROTECTED INDIVIDUALS CODE
This page provides several articles about the Estates and Protected
Individuals Code (EPIC) as enacted and effective in Michigan
April 1, 2000. It applies to all estates of individuals who
die after
March 31, 2000. It also applies to the administration of decedent
estates being administered after that date and to all guardianships,
conservatorships, and trusts being administered as of April 1,
2000.

Court rules for proceedings under the new code are being refined
and reviewed by the Michigan Supreme Court. Until final adoption
of rules by the Supreme Court, interim rules that have been authorized
by the Michigan Supreme Court for use in all the probate courts
