Bertha Brock Park
Bertha Brock Park was established in 1931 with donations of property from local citizens, and initial development with the help of Michigan's Department of Transportation. Early additions to the park, such as the picturesque stone bridges and rustic Palmer Lodge, were built in the early 30's by the WPA. Additional land and many improvements have been contributed by the Ionia County Fishing & Hunting Club, whose own lodge is within the park boundaries. Add to that numerous contributions from area businesses, organizations, and individual volunteers, and one can understand why this park is so dear to the residents of Ionia County.

The park is used by families, groups, and even businesses year-round for outings of all kinds: picnics, reunions, nature hikes, company gatherings, meetings, weddings, photo sessions, cross-country skiing, sledding, camping, and many special events. Picnic sites, pavilions, ballfield, warming shed, and lodge facilities are available for rent. Nearly everything a park can offer is here...even a quiet walk with nature. Pay us a visit at Bertha Brock Park. We'd love to have you!
