All collection events are open to all Ionia County residents.
Items accepted include :

- Adding machines

Essentially anything that uses a cord or battery is accepted
*Basic data wipe is included
† $10 to recycle TVs

Why worry about old electronics?
They contain materials that can be hazardous to human health and the environment if they are not properly managed. For example:
- Lead
- Mercury
- Hexavalent Chromium
- Brominated Flame Retardants
- PCBs
- Plastics

Ionia County Resource Recovery On-going Fundraising Collections
Ionia County Resource Recovery has an on-going small electronic/digital device collection program that helps provide some revenue for our other programing, like the Household Hazardous Waste Collection. The items listed below can be dropped off in the MSU Extensions office (the old State Police Post).
Accepted Items:
- Cell Phones
- PDAs
- Digital Cameras
- Laptops
- Gaming Consoles
- Video Games
- Working DVDs: Non-Working DVDs are DVDs that contain scratches, 'pin' holes or other defects that render the DVD unplayable. We do not accept laser discs. We do not accept DIVX ('burned') DVDs. Pirated DVD copies will not be accepted and may be reported to law enforcement officials. Adult X-rated DVDs will not be accepted. Company training DVDs will not be accepted. 'Super-Value' DVDs (DVDs that retail for $5 or less at the Dollar Store, Dollar General, Wal-Mart, etc.) and 'info-DVDs are classified as NON-working.
