Board/Committee Vacancies
and Upcoming Appointments

     The Board of Commissioners appoints local citizens to a number of boards and committees. Appointments are made at varying times throughout the year, depending on the board/committee. There are also vacancies that occur due to a board/committee member leaving or choosing not to be reappointed. Those vacancies are open for applicants at any time during the vacancy. Please check here for monthly updates of current vacancies and upcoming appointments.
     If you are interested in serving your county, please fill out an Application for Appointment and forward it to the Administration Office.

Current Board/Committee Vacancies
  *Central Dispatch Board of Directors - One two-year term expiring December 2010.
  *Construction Board of Appeals - One two-year term expiring October 2011.
  *Substance Abuse Initiative - One position which must be filled from within Commissioner District #1.
  *Tax Allocation Board - One one-year term expiring January 2011.

Upcoming Appointments for Consideration:
  *Commission on Aging Board - Two three-year terms appointed in September.

Welcome to the new face of Ionia County Online!  We are excited to bring you this new, feature rich, redesigned website!  We hope you will find this site functional as well as easy to use. We also hope that you will take a few minutes to navigate through the site to see the changes that we have made. 

A couple of new features we have incorporated into the new design include the "How Do I...?" search box in the upper right corner of the site.  Please do not hesitate to use this box to find the department or service you require!  We know how daunting it can be to try to find a department or service when you don't even know where to begin!  One example of this might be if one were looking to get a copy of a birth certificate. Simply type "birth certificate" in the search box (without the quotations) and press enter on your keyboard or click "Search Our Site"!  You will instantly be directed to all of the results having to do with birth certificates! 

Another great feature of the new site is the FAQ/Help Desk section in the main, upper menu. This section has a list of the most frequently asked questions requested by Ionia County guests. Simply find the one you are looking for to obtain the answer you require.
